Leave it up to my favorite print darling Dries to take the intellectual freedom and creativity to tell a “landscaping history” via print and pattern. From Duerer - like etchings of black and white hillsides to botanical photo real florals (or “photanicals” as I’ve heard them called) next to seascapes all the way over to city lights and to top it off to Vegas flash-scapes - Dries orchestrated a story telling masterpiece via beautifully printed pieces that will go down in my book as one of the top 10 unforgettable collections of all times ~

The 50’s housewifes are getting together for Easter in Miami! This is what Jonathan Saunders’ show tells me ~ he knows what works for him and his woman ~ The color palette is fresh and extremely directional ~ I think we’ll be seeing much more of this palette for SS13 ~ so it might be worth investing in one of his $ 1000 + pieces ~

Mary Katrantzou is the not so new anymore it~print~girl. Since her first FW09 collection which featured photo real printed perfume bottles on structured dresses ~ she had me at “hello”. Now I hold my breath each time during fashion week awaiting her newest of the newest. This time, I am showing the SS11 highlights which came towards the end of the show ~ they don’t however compare to her previous collection for FW11 ~ images to follow…

This collection is divine! ~ I’m in Paris this week and had the honor to see most of these pieces in person ~ it’s a humbling experience ~ I am in awe of Dries Van Noten’s sensibility ~ and have been for the past 13 years ~ These days however he seems to be in fire ~

Love Peter Pilotto and his partner Christopher De Vos for their very original and unique point of view. You can recognize Peter Pilotto prints from far ~ the fact that they are carried at Colette helps ~ the SS12 was less spectacular than usual, but these are the highlights ~
